That Widow

Day 7 I completed school paperwork for the new year and on the custody agreement page it asks who the student lives with. I’m looking over the options and it says Mom and then a little lower it says the other parent is deceased so that was a first time checking that box off.

I also got the kids new school shoes today. We had talked about taking them into the store and letting them pick out what they wanted and to try them on but this was before he went into the hospital for the last time. Clearly that didn’t happen because Momma only has so much patience now to make it through the entire day, alone. Taking 6 young, rambunctious boys into a store by myself was just not on the agenda on day 7. Instead I picked out shoes online and then did curbside pickup. They ended up loving them but it wasn’t how it was supposed to be. Such is life I suppose.

On day 7, this first week since he left me, I kept more people alive this week then I did last week and I’m taking that win!
