Day 23

It’s day 23 and I got a “portfolio”. I’m 35 and I have a “portfolio” and a money manager.

My husband had a beautiful mind that was OCD on the best of days. His way of categorizing and delegating are not for the faint of heart. He’s type A to the extreme where I’m over here as a Type B just going with the flow. He had so many spreadsheets that required further spreadsheets and then even more spreadsheets. He knew what they meant and what everything was doing. Guess what I don’t know? What everything means and what it’s doing HA! Jokes on me and my easy going nature.

His dad said it’s just what the man of the house does, all of the accounts. I said that’s fine until they die at a young age and leave you with not knowing how to be an adult because you’ve been together so long. I had 1 checking account, 1 savings account, 1 paid off credit card. I now have a “portfolio” of so many accounts doing so many things. He probably should have been more open to sharing how he did things. Too late now.

Day 23 and I assigned new beneficiaries in case more bad things happen. Everyone should really take a look at their accounts and at least know the basics; that’s my advice
