That Widow

Day 58 and it was a day full of meetings.

I met with 2 of the 4 teachers for parent teacher conferences and took the baby to his well child check up. I was supposed to meet with a 3rd teacher but she never showed up and didn’t message me back for over 2 hours later lol instead I got a full workout in during that time slot. I laugh because when she did message she was just like oh, I got sooooooo behind. I’m like it was a virtual meeting, all you had to do was click on say hey I’m behind can we reschedule? Or message me before the meeting to let me know you were behind? She seems very flighty at school too so who knows.

All teachers said the kids are doing great so that makes me happy. One of the teachers, who knows about my husband, asked if I had another adult in the home helping me. Ummm…no? It’s just me. I ask for someone to help when I absolutely need it, like taking the baby to the doctor, but the otherwise it’s me. I was caught off guard by the question but also how does she think other single parents do it? My husband died, but we’re still trying, I am still trying.

Day 58 and I was productive.
