That Widow

Day 82 and urgent care here we come.

Welp, number 2 is still down with a fever and cough so I called for my in-laws to sit with some of the boys while I take him to be seen. Urgent care took one look inside his mouth and said, that’s strep! So we got antibiotics, again, and told to take the day off school tomorrow. He’s not too heartbroken and honestly doesn’t seem bothered by his throat at all. He keeps saying his ear hurts so I thought another ear infection but not this time.

My oldest asked, while we were watching football, why does everyone want you to gain weight when you’re growing up but then when you get older they keep wanting you to lose it? Now if that isn’t a great question! The commercials were for weight loss supplements that prompted the question but how observant of him to be able to understand the conflict people face and he’s only 10.

Day 82 and my children never stop amazing me.
