That Widow

Day 156 and it’s birthday season.

The cluster of birthdays is upon me. #2 turns 6 in a couple of days, #3 turns 5 in 3 weeks, #5 turns 2 the day after that, a niece and nephew, my mom, my uncle, his grandparents, my birthday, and our 13 year dating anniversary. It’s going to be a lot of cake. It’s a good thing I love cake!

So far I have everything on track but it takes a coordinated effort to accomplish it. I always did everything anyway so it’s not anything out of the norm. The thing that is different is just having that extra set of hands. With birthdays comes well child checks and that gets a little hairy now that I have to rely on others to help watch the boys. I hate asking. I hate relying on others. I hate having to try and work around so many schedules. Nothing I can do about it, I was never given a choice. Suck it up and just shout happy birthday!
